“15 Transparent Cavafic”

The “15 Transparent Cavafic” are a series of 15 faces worked on latypes of Lychnite. Lychnite is the expired before centuries Parian marble, unique for its delicacy and transparency, which gave birth to the great masterpieces of ancient Greek sculpture. In fact, these latypes are of particularly excellent transparency.

20 “Cavafika” prosopa in grey

The “20 ‘Cavafika’ prosopa in grey” is a collection of 20 sculptures, 20 persons - prosopa. Like the previous collections “Aliktypa persons” and “12 persons in grey”, the “20 ‘Cavafika’ prosopa in grey” are sculpted in leftovers of the famous Parian marble, latypes of Lychnites, and they are carved with the same tools used by the Ancient Greek sculptors.

12 persons in gray

"12 persons in gray” is a collection of 12 sculptures, 12 prosopa. They are worked in latypes of the famous Parian Stone, like the previous “Aliktypa persons”, however, the latypes, used for this collection are grey.

Aliktypa Bodies

Waves on shore, often furious, but sometimes gentle like a caress, shaped the opals, which became the raw material of the six sculptures of the collection: Bodies.

Alictypa Songs

"Alictypa Songs" is a new cycle of sculptures, which, like the previous 15 sculptures of the cycle Ryades, ‘dance’ with the rhythm of Elytis poetry and are sculpted on small or bigger opal pebbles.

Aliktypa Prosopa

The “Alexandrian Navigating” continues with new faces. These, like the previous ones, sail into the secret channels of the poetry of K. Kavafis and are sculpted in slivers of the unique Parian Marble.

Pegylides

"Pegylides" is a collection of sculptures, fifteen "prosopa", which are moving noiselessly in the paths of Kavafi's poetry. For me it has been another voyage, an Alexandrine sail, a new stage of my dialogue with the latypes of the Parian marble.

Ryades

"Ryades" is a cycle of sculptures worked out artistically on opal. They are 15 figures, which dance with the rhythm of Elytis poetry.

Fones (Voices)

Voices, loved and idealized, of those who have died, or of those lost for us like the dead.

Bust of Archilohos

Aristidis varrias, volunteered to materialize the Parian municipality's request of sculpturing the bust of Archilohos, the great Parian poet and father of lyric poetry, thus fulfilling his own personal ambition along with the desire of generations of Parians.
